If its a primary school Disco its always best to have two short and separate disco parties. The optimum time frame is 1-1 and a quarter hours for younger children and 1 and a quarter to 1 and a half hours for the older kids. Much longer than this is a mistake, A high energy disco party environment can make some kids over tired and some can get boisterous. These parties can be staged back to back, with a 15 minute break in the middle for a change over.

Disco parties for kids Aged Between the of 5 and 10 kids will tend to include current pop tunes from acts like girls aloud, sugerbabes etc and party dances like cha cha slide, Y.M.C.A etc. We will also play the kids favourites like bob the builder, shaun the sheep, High school confidential, and the tweenies etc.

From the age of 10 music tastes become a bit more selective, the kids still like current pop music and the odd party dance but at this age they have a tendency to like what they like and hate everything else. This can cause a problem because the most popular tunes for this age group can include totally inappropriate subject matter and graphic lyrics. We always keep up to date with the current music charts and know what's in and what's out, so if its a must play tune and we know that the kids will love, we will always try to source the radio edit. Unfortunately when this is not possible, its best not to play requests.
